Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for review RFQ’s from NPD to the internal team members, suggest suppliers, review & finalize quotes received from supplieensure and closure of any RFQ’s within 3 working days.

• Responsible for indirect sourcing & purchase management process.
• He/she will be the 1st level escalation point for sourcing within the organization and for the suppliers.
• He/she will be the technical point of contact between NPD and the suppliers.
  Should be aware of various supplier identification platforms to identify potential suppliers for wires & cables, connectors, cable assemblieother commodities.
• Should be able to assess capability of suppliers and make decisions for samples & procurement.
• Should be aware of all technical aspects of wires & cables, connectors, cable assemblies.
• Should be able to validate pricing received from suppliers for its correctness and should be able to negotiate pricing with suppliers baseon facts.
• Should be able to propose low-cost alternates & equivalents for wires & cables, connectors.
• Should have good knowledge on spend analysis, propose cost reduction opportunities (alternates, VA/VE, supply chain optimization,
  outsourcing) to the management.
  Should be aware of techniques & strategies used to negotiate payment terms and contracts with suppliers.
• Should be aware of global compliance requirements such as RoHS & REACH, Conflict Minerals etc.,
• Support SQE on all supplier quality aspects like non-conformance management, supplier audits etc.

Skills Required:

• The candidate should be B.E/Diploma holder in Electronics & Communication with experience in dealing
  with suppliers/customers.
• Minimum 09-10 years’ experience working in wiring harness industry.
• Strong communication and leadership skill.
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
